Across Africa, over 50% of rangers lack access to proper boots and gear, and more than 40% must purchase their own. These are the men and women who spend countless hours patrolling vast wilderness areas to protect our wildlife — often without the right footwear.
That’s why Jim Green Footwear partnered with the Game Rangers Association of Africa (GRAA) to make a difference. Together, we designed a boot focused on comfort, durability, and affordability — the three essential pillars for those protecting Africa’s wild spaces.
After surveying rangers from across the continent, we crafted the African Ranger Boot — a boot designed by rangers, for rangers.

✔ Quiet Movement – The Oringo wedge sole grips securely while keeping your steps silent through the bush.
✔ Support & Stability – A steel shank between the insole and sole provides excellent arch and load support.
✔ Secure Fit – Heavy-duty hooks and eyelets keep your laces firmly in place.
✔ Built to Last – The insole is secured with a double-stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord, and the boot is fully resoleable using stitch-down construction.
✔ Perfect Fit – The STC last provides a 2E wide fit with a rounded toe box for added comfort.
